Do you ever feel like you’re not good enough?

We complain about such little things, but the truth is no one cares what I did yesterday or how my brother was mean to me. We only care about ourselves, because that’s what we’re made to do. Of course, if someone falls down we help them up, but who are we really? Is everything nice we do just for our public image? Are we really a nice person on the inside? And I don’t mean when no one’s watching. I mean when a monster is chasing you and someone trips. It’s the end of the world. It’s you or them. Do you help them up?
Or, you’re in the desert. You’re traveling with a limited supply of water and spot people lying in the sand. Do you give them water? Again, they may live if they come with you and you share your water, but what about you? Will you survive?

When we’re not in these tough situations, it all comes down to the situation and how it will affect our public image. We cherish a good public image. A bad public image makes you want to kill yourself.

How come you care about what you wear to school? Your public image.

How come you care about having what everybody else has? Your public image.

There are a few, lucky people who have learned to “not sweat the small stuff,” so to speak. If we all learned to be like them, we would save so much money wearing plain white t-shirts and jeans. No one would care if she was pretty and she’s not because no one cared. And no one would feel like they’re not good enough.

You know, if I keep this whole write-five-days-ahead thing, I’m never going to be up until 11:00 writing a blog post again. Ever. Because after March is over, I’m done blogging every day. It’s stressing because if I mess up and miss a single day, I’ll never be satisfied. BUT it’s march 16 and I’m writing this, so I’m pretty far ahead of the game.

I just got a new phone case that has a galaxy scene on it. In the picture on amazon, it looked quite nice. But after I got it, I was disappointed. It wasn’t all I hoped for. My old case was beaten up, but it was still better than the case I had just gotten. I felt guilty because I had just spent money on it, and I didn’t want it to go to waste. So you know what I did? I put a pop socket on it and sharpied the white area around the galaxy scene. I was really proud of my work! When I told my dad, he said he couldn’t even tell. How’s that for girl power? Get to work, get things done. I gotta go practice piano now. Bye!

11 days left!!

You know, achieving little goals can help you in the long run. Just making your bed every day or blogging every day of March can make you want to achieve more goals. Some people procrastinate and stop chasing their dreams. The truth is, people who are younger should learn everything they can because knowledge is power. I’m proud I did this challenge, because it makes me feel as though I can achieve almost anything. Plus, it was fun. I probably won’t continue after March is over, but  I will remember how I put my mind to something and I did it. You know what else I did? Every time I had a project or something important to do, I wrote it down on a sticky note and put it on my desk. When I was finished, I balled it up and threw it in the recycle bin. After a while, I started to see quite a few sticky notes in it. I was doing lots! I also wrote down things that I wanted to do for fun, like watch a Once Upon A Time episode and other stuff. I didn’t spray paint my water bottle yet, due to the snow. That’s still on my list.

In keyboarding, my teacher told us to pack up, and she dismissed us from the class. So we went to the house and the bell rang, but there wasn’t the usual stampede-of-kids-running-around. I went to my next block, but the teacher told me that the next switch wasn’t until 20 minutes later! I totally freaked out. So we all went back to keyboarding. Apparently since there was a two-hour delay that day, they rang the bell for the lunch switch. When the bell ACTUALLY rang, I got a good head start because I had already gotten my math binder from my locker. And since it was the Pi day celebration day, I ate lots of food at math. It was all SO delicious. Now that I’m in English, I am SO FULL!

Remember when I told you I was not doing so well with the challenge? I’m back ahead of the schedule again. I’m gonna try my best to keep this up, because It’s a good time management exercise.

Anyways, today my dog, Sparky, got groomed. My mom took him to a new place this time an he came back SO. FLUFFY. Since the snow on my deck iced over, we went skating out there. It was really fun!

Since it’s Pi day, I brought in Ginger Snaps for my class to eat, and I slipped TWICE on the ice on the way here. When I opened the can that had held my cookies, they were all messed up!!! But in the end, it was ok. Phew 🙂

I was so wrong when I thought this was going to be easy.

I wrote this on March 15th, so bare with me.

It’s 15 days in to the challenge, and here I am staying up until 11:00 writing blog posts. I’m running out of ideas of what to write. What if I fail this challenge? I don’t want to miss a day and then make up for it and pretend it never happened. I feel like it’s cheating. But luckily, I got my blog post for March 15th posted in just the nick of time.
Anyway:

I got a popsocket (finally) and it’s a lot of fun. I have a new phone case coming along with it, but it’s taking FOREVER to ship. My dad sent me a link of where it’s at currently, so I can see the progress. It’s not like it’s coming from china, people!

I just looked at my volleyball association’s website and scrolled down to recent news…..

Let me explain.

SO last Saturday I went with my team to Maryland for a tournament, and we won the silver bracket. And guess what? Our picture was put up on the volleyball association’s website along with a short article written about us. I’m really proud of how my team did at the tourney. It was a day to remember!

How to get a free snow day!!!

(actually worked for me)

So, I was at my friends house on tuesday when my dad announced that we had a two-hour delay the next day. Me and my friend immediately perked up when he said that our county would let us know if there was any changes.

It was time to get to work.

Usually, when they say if there’s any changes, it means there might be one. So we searched the web for snow day superstitions, like flush ice down the toilet, scream “SNOW DAY!” In the freezer, and put a spoon under your pillow. I did just that. And so did my friend.

So I wake up at 5:30 am on wednesday (that’s my curse– on snow days/weekends/holidays, I always wake up early while on school days I am EXHAUSTED.) So anyway, since I woke up so early I realize it must be because school is closed. But I had to make sure. (I forgot to mention– the day before, my dad was SURE we were going to school. He thought of the superstitious stuff I was doing as ‘silly’. Stop being such a fun-ruiner, dad! My magic WORKED!!)

I digress.

Anyways, I was going downstairs to make sure that school was closed. I know most people listen to the phone call that guy gives (he’s a hero) but since it was early I didn’t want to wake people up. So I closed my eyes and looked at my phone……

SCHOOL. WAS. CLOSED on Wednesday, March 15th.

It’s pi day!!!

I’m super happy that we didn’t have any school, due to the snow. I’m so happy! It’s about time we got school off. We haven’t had a single snow day! I mean, we had a 2 hour delay at one point, but we never got a full day off. I have a problem. I need to make ginger snaps for my Pi day celebration this Thursday, but every recipe I’ve tried has turned out bad. What do I do??

Guess who had to get up at 4:00 AM on saturday???

I have a volleyball tournament every weekend now. And this one’s in MARYLAND 🙁 🙁 I really, really, really didn’t want to go. But later, we actually won the silver bracket!! Playing all those hard teams has really made us better. I was EXHAUSTED from the entire week. But it DID snow on friday. I was sitting in english, and BOOM! I look outside and it’s snowing like crazy. But when I looked closer, I realized it was actually hail. It was over quick, but then I learned it was supposed to actually snow on Tuesday. YAY!
